A TEENAGER has been left ‘distraught’ after being shot at by her own father after he killed his wife and other daughter before turning the gun on himself.
The 19-year-old from Lakewood, California, survived the horror attack that police say was carried out by her own dad Hector Lionel Alfaro, 52, on the morning of January 15.

She was awoken to the sound of gunshots inside the family home around 8 am on Thursday.
Alfaro fired multiple times at his shocked daughter, narrowly missing her, before he suddenly turned the handgun on himself, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said.
By then, he had already shot and killed his wife, 48, and 17-year-old daughter, neither of whom have yet been named.
The shaken teenager fled the house in shock as officers arrived to find Alfaro in one part of the home with a gunshot wound to the upper torso and his wife and daughter in separate bedrooms.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene while the surviving daughter was left physically uninjured.
She was “emotionally distraught” as she fled the house of horrors, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Lt. Daniel Vizcarra said.
The girl had phoned officers after her father had shot at her and turned the gun on himself, telling them that he was unconscious on the floor next to her.
Officials noted that she was briefly taken into custody at Lakewood Police Station for questioning until officers could establish the facts of what took place.
“Luckily, she was a survivor of this tragedy. Just trying to deal with the consequences of their father’s doing,” her uncle Jorge Fuentes told NBC Los Angeles.
“It’s hard to process. Pain. Anger. How a person is supposed to be a protector and a father to those girls would have done something so hideous.”

Family members are now rallying around the teenager as she comes to terms with what happened.
Officials recovered two firearms from the property but no motive has been given.
“Obviously this incident is a tragedy to the City of Lakewood. Lakewood is one of the safest cities in L.A. County,” Capt. Dan Holguin told reporters.
“Through investigation, Homicide Investigators learned gunshots were heard within the residence by Alfaro’s 19-year-old daughter while she was asleep,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
“Alfaro then appeared near her armed with a handgun and shot at her several times; however, she was not struck by the gunfire.
“Alfaro then shot himself while standing near his 19-year-old daughter.”
An investigation is ongoing.
