Paul Ibe, the Special Adviser to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Media, has stated that neither his principal nor former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has engaged in any discussions regarding compromising the ADC presidential ticket for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Ibe provided this clarification on Wednesday during an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a program aired on Arise Television and monitored by DAILY POST.
He mentioned that the primary focus of both leaders is to establish and ensure a viable alternative platform to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“As I mentioned earlier, having such a conversation would be premature. Obi and Atiku have not discussed the ADC in this context,” Ibe explained.
“If the ADC platform is not strong enough, their aspirations and ambitions will be futile. They are committed to creating a solid platform. Anything else is merely a distraction caused by the administration led by President Tinubu,” Ibe added.
DAILY POST recalls that Atiku previously commented on the ADC presidential race.
