Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Yusuf Atah, has announced that there will be no vacancy in the Presidential Villa in 2027.

Atah suggested that President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to office in 2027.

In response to assertions made by “certain factions, especially from the APC, PDP, and Labour Party (LP),” claiming that the North has turned against Tinubu in 2027, Atah dismissed these statements as unfounded.

In a statement released by his Media Aide, Seyi Olorunsola, Atah referred to these claims as a “malicious campaign of outright distortion and falsehood” allegedly spread by political opponents who are dissatisfied with the results of the last general election.

Atah stated: “This claim is not only unfounded; it is also disrespectful to the genuine feelings and aspirations of millions of northerners who have benefited from the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“As the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, I want to clarify: there is no vacancy in Aso Rock Villa in 2027.”

The Minister noted that the North has “unified” in support of Tinubu, labeling claims to the contrary as a “deliberate misrepresentation aimed at creating discord, inciting regional bias, and undermining national unity.”

“President Tinubu’s administration has also witnessed a consistent acceleration of infrastructure projects throughout the North,” Atah remarked.

He added that Islamic clerics, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and civil society representatives have rallied behind the President’s 2027 campaign.

“To the people of the North, I urge you: do not be influenced by the misleading rhetoric of unsuccessful and retired politicians whose only goal is to regain access to public funds,” Atah cautioned.
