A CONTROVERSIAL Married At First Sight groom has claimed he wouldn’t recommend the matchmaking series “to my worst enemy.”
The groom, who recently and sought therapy after the series, has again blasted his rollercoaster experience on-screen.

Luke Worley from his instalment of , after a bust up with his co-star, Jordan Gayle.
He married Lancashire native, Jay Howard on the show and the couple were forced to leave early following ’s altercation.
But unsurprisingly their romance failed to stand the test of time and the show axe, and Jay attended the show’s reunion on her own after Luke was banned.
Now Luke, 32, who attempted a second stab at reality TV romance on Rylan Clark’s Dating Naked series, has ranted: ” MAFS is hectic.
“Although the welfare team were great, it’s above them where the problems start.
“I wouldn’t recommend MAFS to my worst enemy.”
He doubled down on his argument and said: “I wouldn’t recommend MAFS to anyone, and if I was going to recommend it, I’d say don’t go on there for love; go on there to get your 15 minutes of fame.
“Get as many followers as you can, and make as much money as you can, because ultimately, it’s a load of c**p.”
EDITING WOE
Off air, Luke previously branded his show rival Jordan a “scumbag.”
He has called out MAFS bosses for his 2023 stint and said: “The worst part of the show is definitely the editing team.
“The way they edit that show should be illegal. It is so bad.’
He then alleged: “They subbed words out from previous conversations and added them into other conversations to make me say things I didn’t actually say.
“I noticed it in one scene because the sound was so different. It was like they pulled it from one clip and put it into another.
“That sort of thing is really bad.”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
Yet his experience didn’t stop him applying for fellow reality series Dating Naked, where in a cringe-worthy moment.
PERSONAL BATTLE
Meanwhile, after the MAFS reunion episode had aired in 2023, Luke announced his mental health battles depression which stemmed from the series.
He admitted that he’d been at “one of the lowest points” since leaving the show.
He said: “After this reunion I cut myself off as I was at one of the lowest points in my life.
“I had to go to counselling for weeks to recover from MAFS as I lost myself and I didn’t know who I was anymore.
“Since MAFS started airing I have had hate including death threats and it’s not acceptable.”
Luke, who quit his job to be on the programme, said the show’s editing cast him in a bad light.
He said:”It is not what people say [which hurts], it is when people don’t understand me, they’ve got me wrong.
“No one should have to say ‘I’m a nice guy, I’m caring’.
“I shouldn’t have to say that, people should just be able to see it and when people can’t see that side to you it is upsetting.
“I understand why people were giving me hate online.”
At the time, a spokesperson from Channel 4 said they were doing their best to offer Luke the necessary support.
