Youths from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State have openly opposed the re-election campaign of Jimi Odimayo, the lawmaker representing the Okitipupa-Irele Federal Constituency.

In a statement shared with DAILY POST on Thursday, the youths, led by Adewale Adefua, expressed that it is time to replace their representative in the National Assembly.

The youths emphasized that Bidemi Obayangban, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Forestry, would serve as a more effective representative for the constituency.

“We have witnessed the positive contributions Hon. Obayangban has made to our community. It is time for a change, and we are confident he is the right candidate to represent us,” Adefua stated.

Additionally, Ajibade Omogunoye, a youth leader in the region, remarked, “We are supporting Obayangban due to his humility and dedication to our people. We believe he can bring about the necessary changes, despite our kinsman, Odimayo, pursuing re-election.”
