2027: ADC’ll take over power from Tinubu, other parties jittery – Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress, ADC, opposition coalition will take over power from the President Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027.

Atiku said within three weeks of its adoption by the coalition, other political parties are jittery because of the ADC.

The former Vice President who spoke during the unveiling and inauguration of the Ekiti State ADC Executive Council in Ado Ekiti over the weekend, where he was represented by Prof Bayode Fakunle.

Atiku declared that the ADC would never allow Nigeria becomes a one-party state.

Noting that ADC is for all Nigerians, the former presidential candidate said the party will change the political landscape of Nigeria.

He said: “ADC was launched just about three weeks ago and within two weeks, it has become the most dominant party in the country and all other parties are already jittery.

“ADC is for all Nigerians, it is a party that will change the political landscape of this country and everyone is welcomed with open hands and by the grace of God, this party will take over the leadership of this country come 2027.”

ADC which was inaugurated a few weeks ago, has several notable political figures as members.

The party has vowed to ensure that it unseat Tinubu in 2027.

Currently, there are indications that Atiku may contest for the party’s presidential ticket in 2027.
