The small child was allegedly thrown into the crocodile enclosure by a man with learning difficulties last Thursday.
He was raced to hospital with serious injuries and was in critical but stable condition.
The 30-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but swiftly release from police custody.
Cops confirmed the man was not fit to be quizzed by officers and he has been bailed until September 18.
Cambridgeshire Police is reportedly reviewing CCTV after the incident.
