Zamfara House passes bill to amend persons with disabilities law, others

The Zamfara State House of Assembly has passed a Bill to Amend the Zamfara State Persons with Disabilities Law No. 5, 2022 , submitted by Hon. Yakubu Almajir, Chairman, House Committee on Social Welfare.

The amendment seeks to promote the rights, accessibility, and inclusion of persons with disabilities in all facets of life.

Another report on the Bill to Repeal and Re-enact the Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Animal Science Law, 2000, was presented by Hon. Mustapha Usman, Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture.

The bill proposes the re-enactment of the institution’s law as the Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Technology Law, 2025, to reflect its expanded mandate.

The two separate bills were given third and final readings respectively by Clerk to the House, Alhaji Mahmud Aliyu.

Both bills were passed at third reading and have been forwarded to the Executive Governor for assent.
