The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned its members to refrain from engaging in anti-party activities, emphasizing that it will no longer tolerate actions that could create internal discord and disunity within the party.
In a statement released by the State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, it was noted that the party had intercepted what he referred to as “speculative and misleading claims” circulating online. These claims allege that some dissatisfied members from the Shinkafi Local Government Area have taken the party to court over purported unconstitutional sanctions.
According to the reports, individuals named Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi, Kabiru Ibrahim, and Ibrahim D. Kurya reportedly filed a lawsuit on Friday, November 16, under suit number ZMS/GS/65/2025, seeking judicial intervention regarding an alleged disciplinary action by the party.
Gusau dismissed the report as false and misleading, asserting that no member from Shinkafi had been sanctioned by the party and that no court order had been issued concerning such matters.
“The party is not aware of any disciplinary action or suspension involving its members from Shinkafi, nor has it received any directive from a court of law in that regard,” he stated.
He suggested that those disseminating these claims might be trying to preempt potential sanctions due to their alleged involvement in anti-party activities and their purported affiliation with the ruling PDP in the state.
Gusau emphasized that the APC will not permit politically motivated misinformation to jeopardize the party’s renewed stability and expanding support base in Zamfara.
