A woman has been shot by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Chicago as protests against ICE intensify and tensions escalate.
The Department of Homeland Security reported that "defensive shots" were fired on Saturday morning in Brighton Park after agents were "rammed by 10 cars" and "boxed in."


Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin stated that agents opened fire when they discovered that a woman driving one of the vehicles was "armed with a semi-automatic weapon."
She was transported to the hospital for treatment, and according to DHS, no law enforcement officers were injured.
