Two female journalists from Jay FM in Jos, Plateau State, have reportedly been apprehended by security personnel due to a video capturing a confrontation between a cleric and several security operatives during the funeral service for the mother of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

As stated in a post by Jay FM on its Facebook page on Saturday, the journalists – Ruth Marcus and Keshia Jang – are currently unaccounted for, as the organization has not been able to ascertain their location.

The post indicated that the journalists had gone to the COCIN Headquarters in Jos to cover the funeral service and recorded the altercation, which they shared on the station’s social media platforms – causing the video to go viral rapidly.

According to the post, shortly thereafter, security agents descended upon the journalists and took them to an undisclosed location.

“The management is working to confirm which security agencies are detaining them and where they are being held,” the post stated.

The radio station affirmed its commitment to posting the controversial video.
