Woman in Her 30s Allegedly Assaulted by Man on Train to London

A WOMAN was sexually assaulted on a train.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident that occurred on the service from Staines to London at approximately 7:50 AM last Thursday (October 2).

It is reported that a man boarded at Feltham Station and sat next to the victim.

British Transport Police stated: “Shortly after sitting down, he began to touch her hair while inappropriately touching himself over his clothing.

“Initially, the woman was unaware of what was happening until other passengers alerted her.

“Another passenger confronted the man and escorted him off the train at Richmond.

“An investigation has been initiated, and efforts to identify the man are ongoing.”

The suspect is described as white, tall, and of stocky build, with a shaved head. He was wearing a black tracksuit top and bottom.

Officers are urging anyone who was on the train and witnessed the incident to reach out by texting BTP at 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40, using reference number 283 from October 2.
