“So yes, only Community Shield. I’ve done nothing for this club to think about leaving.
“I cannot leave this club without giving them something back. My first choice was to stay here and win everything first.
“We’re always close. But if we don’t win, it’s because we miss something. Every year we’re getting better.
“We have had a lot of experiences from the last three seasons. We know that we’re always close.
“So we have to stop talking and prove on the pitch that we have to win. Every time at the end of the season you finish second, you’re a bit angry. You want to go on holiday and celebrate with your friends the trophies you won with your club.”
Saliba has signed a new deal of about £250,000-a-week with and having already extended their deals to 2028.
This summer, , 27, while and are now contracted to 2030.
And , 24, is currently in talks with his £300k-a-week contract running out in two years’ time.
Saliba added: “I’m so happy to sign the new deal with my club.
“I have to keep going like this to help the team to win some trophies.
“We have a good squad, good staff, a good coach, so, yeah, we are close to achieving things.”
