The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, says the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is saying the FCT elections were not free and fair because its candidates lost woefully.
Basiru made this statement on Tuesday during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ monitored by DAILY POST.
He said while the APC is doing its best to mobilise, organise, create structure, and think ahead, others were eating groundnuts in markets and doing skits, stressing that such was not politics.
“Most of the time, people turn themselves to comedians because they are in the political space.
“We just had an election two weeks ago, and they are still saying the elections were not free and fair because their candidates lost woefully.
“Before the election, we saw them saying that the signpost for the 2027 election is the FCT polls. Out of 62 councilorship seats, they can’t win one. Out of six chairmanship seats, they can’t win one
“On that same day, two bye-elections were held in Rivers and Kano states each and were won by the APC,” he said.
