WEST HAM missed the chance to close the gap on Nottingham Forest in their battle again the drop after a drab 0-0 draw with Bournemouth.

Victory would have moved the Hammers level on points with Forest but there was a real lack of quality on show at the London Stadium.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side looked the more threatening side in the first half but there were few chances coming from either side before the break.

Rayan had a good chance to put Bournemouth ahead but he fizzed his shot well over.

And Valentin Castellanos also went close with an acrobatic effort that flashed just wide of the post.

Callum Wilson was later denied by Djordje Petrovic as the game started to open up.

Crysensio Summerville was also drowned out in the penalty area late on as Jarrod Bowen smashed an effort over in stoppage time.
