Weight Watchers Introduces Innovative Service to Support Weight Loss with Fat Injections

Weight Watchers has unveiled a new service aimed at assisting individuals using GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic or Wegovy in maintaining their weight loss.

The weight management experts emphasize that these popular injections are most effective when combined with external support.

Their Success Programme aims to enhance medication tolerance, minimize side effects, and protect lean muscle mass.

This new member experience addresses a significant gap by offering coaching and advice for both users and non-users of GLP-1 medications, ensuring sustainable results.

Dr. Kim Boyd, the chief medical officer at the company, stated: “GLP-1 medications are powerful tools, but they’re not a standalone solution.

“They affect the entire body, including the brain, to decrease hunger signals and food cravings – which can be particularly beneficial during the festive season.

“That’s where the GLP-1 Success Programme comes into play.

“It aids in translating these biological effects into lasting behavior changes, with science-backed support that encompasses dosage and side-effect tracking, nutrition and exercise guidance to help maintain muscle, alongside a community specifically designed for individuals on a GLP-1 journey.”

The new program is designed to more closely align with how people actually live, offering a more adaptable and responsive experience.

It aims to better reflect the reality of long-term weight management and provides a clearer picture of progress.

Weight Watchers is also launching an updated brand identity to reshape how the company is perceived in the broader health landscape.

Currently, in the US, members can obtain GLP-1s through Weight Watchers Med+, but the GLP-1 Success Programme is set to launch in the UK this January, with a partnership established with CheqUp, which prescribes GLP-1s in the UK.
