“During your career, when you are actually competing, you get the odd nice ten days, like that one in the swimming pool.

“But in the back of your head is always the next fight that is coming up.”
And in April 2024, Joshua told BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “If I was to choose [a career] for him, I would ask him to probably look at accountancy because I think it’s good to understand numbers.
“So when you have that kind of insight you can now become an entrepreneur and invest in business. I want him to focus on business.
“He is cool. He gets it. I have always kept boxing out. So he gets that. He knows that I’m just dad.”

“There’s certain things he does that make me laugh. He says, ‘Hello’ in some weird way and when I heard him say it, I was like, ‘Where did you learn that?’
“I pick up on little things that he’s learning from his environment and it’s funny watching him grow and that’s cool.
“But I think the main thing is just getting a little cuddle, that’s nice.”
