We are waiting for Kwankwaso’s directive – Jigawa NNPP

Published on June 28, 2025 at 04:56 PM

Gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, in Jigawa State in the 2023 general election, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, has said the members of the party are waiting for directives from Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Ringim stated this in an interview with DAILY POST while reacting to speculations about the party’s next move ahead of the 2027 general election.

He spoke amid rumours that the NNPP is planning a possible merger with one of the major political parties.

Ringim urged the party’s loyalists to disregard such rumours and remain focused on the coming elections.

He urged the party leadership from ward, local government to the state level to remain united and continue working for the success of the party.

“I want to tell all our party supporters that, for now, we are for NNPP and we will continue to work for the party. If there is any development we will receive it from our leader Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, he is our focus and he is the one we follow.

“Therefore whatever decision he takes, we are ready and happy to follow him for the development of the country”; Ringim said.

DAILY POST reports that there are strong indications that discussions are going on between the NNPP and APC on possible collaboration ahead of the 2027 general election.
