JTBC’s upcoming drama “Good Boy”;; has unveiled a highlight video packed with action, comedy, and unexpected chemistry!
“Good Boy”;; is a comic action drama that follows a group of former national athletes Yoon Dong Joo (Park Bo Gum), Ji Han Na (Kim So Hyun), Kim Jong Hyun (Lee Sang Yi), Go Man Sik (Heo Sung Tae), and Shin Jae Hong (Tae Won Suk)—who become police officers through a special recruitment program. Swapping medals for badges, they take on a world full of corruption, deception, and injustice.
The video kicks off with Yoon Dong Joo’s playful side as he throws a light punch at Go Man Sik, quipping, “How have you been?”;; Then, in front of a skeptical Kim Jong Hyun, he smirks and says, “Let’s get along, senior,”;; showing his cheeky charm.
But Dong Joo isn’t just comedic relief. In a tender moment with Han Na, he gently confesses, “More people like you than hate you. I like you too,”;; shifting the mood from action to romance. When stakes rise, though, the levity vanishes. With gritted determination and intense close combat, he warns, “Run if you can. Everyone who enters my round ends up down.”;;
What makes“Good Boy”;;truly exhilarating isn’t just the fights—it’s the chaotic but magnetic dynamic between its unlikely team. Initially, they’re a mess: Dong Joo joins only because Han Na is on the team; Han Na questions if they’ll be issued guns; Jong Hyun snaps back, “You think this is a joke?”;; Meanwhile, Jae Hong would rather wave traffic signs in a mascot suit rather than take on field duty. Team leader Man Sik seems unimpressed—but ultimately, he’s the glue that holds them together.
Each member has a different sense of justice and reason for becoming a cop, making them seem impossible to unite. Yet somehow, their dysfunction becomes their strength.
The highlight video also hints that their enemies aren’t ordinary criminals either. As the text reads, “Toward a villain you can almost see, but not quite,”;; a shadowy threat begins to take shape. Battles intensify, and at the climax, a formidable presence emerges: customs officer Min Joo Young (Oh Jung Se)—the mastermind behind the chaos, raising anticipation for what’s to come.
