MBC’s upcoming drama “The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun”; has unveiled a new preview of its intense storyline!
“The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun”; follows the journey of Baek Seol Hee (Jang Shin Young), a single mother seeking revenge against a powerful conglomerate family for the sake of her only daughter.
The newly released video starts with a touching moment between Seol Hee and her daughter Baek Mi So (WJSN’s Luda), who share a heartwarming mother-daughter bond. Mi So, a bright student, has been admitted to an international high school. Beaming with pride, Seol Hee tells her, “The words ‘Mi So’s mom’ are the ones I like hearing the most.”;
However, the tone of the teaser quickly darkens with the caption “Our once-happy daily life collapsed in an instant,”; followed by a disturbing scene where Min Se Ri (Park Seo Yeon) violently bullies Mi So. Seol Hee is then shown waiting in anguish outside an emergency room, vowing revenge.
The preview also introduces Min Kyung Chae (Yoon Ah Jung), the elegant and poised heir to the Min Kang Group. Her glamorous public image sharply contrasts with Seol Hee’s struggle. But after her stepsister Se Ri causes the aforementioned incident, Kyung Chae faces pressure from the group’s chairman Min Doo Sik (Jeon No Min) and tries to cover up the scandal.
Another key figure in the drama is Moon Tae Kyung (Seo Ha Joon), who is on a personal mission to uncover the truth behind his parents’ mysterious death 25 years ago, which was officially ruled a car accident. As Tae Kyung joins the Min Kang Group as the head of its new business division, his path crosses with Seol Hee’s, deepening the drama.
Tensions rise further in the latter part of the preview. Seol Hee is shown confronting Kyung Chae with steely resolve, saying through clenched teeth, “Do you think I’ll stay still when my child is about to die?”; The video also highlights the power-driven dynamics within the Min Kang Group, featuring action scenes and suspenseful moments.
The teaser ends on a chilling note with the caption “Now it’s your turn,”; heightening anticipation for the drama’s cathartic moments of revenge.
