The National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, has announced that Nigeria is beginning to receive international assistance in its battle against insurgents and terrorists who threaten the nation.
Ribadu shared this information while leading a Federal Government delegation on a condolence visit to Catholic Bishop Bulus Yohanna of Kontagora Diocese and the families of the kidnapped students from St Mary’s Catholic Nursery Primary/Secondary School in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.
The NSA expressed confidence that Nigeria would prevail over the insurgents, mentioning that countries such as the United States of America, France, and Britain are providing support.
“Many compassionate individuals from around the globe are coming to our aid, including those from the United States of America. We are grateful to everyone, particularly European nations like France, the United Kingdom, and others,” he stated.
“The entire world is uniting to combat and eradicate this menace that has plagued Nigeria for two decades,” he added.
He noted that President Bola Tinubu was deeply troubled by the abduction of the children and some of their teachers, prompting him to suspend certain official engagements to address the situation.
“Mr. President asked me to express gratitude to you, Bishop Yohanna, for your understanding and patience, for providing us with vital information, and for your support. We are united in this fight,” he remarked.
“You will witness our forthcoming actions and responses. One thing I am certain of is that while evil individuals will always exist, their actions will ultimately lead to positive change in Nigeria.
“Enough is enough. We will not waver in our commitment; we are all under siege. Let us not allow malevolent forces to divide us, nor let evil infiltrate our resolve,” he urged.
