Golden Eaglets head coach Manu Garba has insisted his team will get better when they take on Burkina Faso in their next game at the ongoing 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship.
Garba’s side thrashed Benin Republic 4-1 to seal a place in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
The Eaglets will look to secure top position in Group B when they take on Burkina Faso in Yammosoukro on Saturday.
“We will see a better Nigerian team as the tournament progresses,” Garba said after the game.
“The team was only assembled about a month ago and this was only their first international match.”
The top two teams in the competition will earn a place at the 2026 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
