IMAGINE waiting two years to finally be able to see your wedding captured in a video – only to discover that the majority of the footage is of the floor.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to one devastated bride after she claimed the videographer filmed the floor “90%” of the time.

Rumi and Ahmed Nabiel tied the knot in December 2023 and hired a videographer acquaintance to film their dream wedding for £300.

The 28-year-old says she was forced to repeatedly contact him for two years before eventually receiving the footage in February [2026].

When Rumi hit ‘play’ she claims the 16-minute-long clip was mainly unedited footage of the floor alongside ‘shaky’ upside-down frames of around five seconds.

Clips from the £300 video show the floor of the wedding reception before eventually panning up to the bride and groom standing by their wedding cake.

Another shot apparently shows more footage of a different floor, followed by clips filmed upside down.

The footage has racked up more than 300,000 views online, with the caption: ”Absolutely heartbreaking. How can someone do this?”

Rumi, from Birmingham, said: “My husband had seen his work before and it was quite decent. He offered to do it for cheaper than other photographers.

“We were shocked. You don’t even have to film perfectly, just don’t film the floor. The guy was just filming the floor.

“I had a seven-hour wedding and I only got 16 minutes’ worth of footage.

“He used to do photography professionally, I was really upset because he took two years to give me the footage.

“I was pestering him. It was just going back and forth for two years.

“I took matters into my own hands and rang him and said ‘you are absolutely taking the p*ss now’

“‘I paid for this service and you don’t want to send me any of the videos’, but I understand why now.

“You pay money, you expect something to be done correctly. He was filming the floor for 90% of the wedding.

“The footage is upside down, nothing is edited, he would record one area for five seconds.”

The mum-of-two says she was in shock after seeing the video and said ‘a five-year-old could have done better’.

Despite the video, Rumi said she had the ‘perfect’ wedding after spending only two weeks planning it.

While the couple have asked for a refund, Rumi claims he refused to stump up the cash.

Rumi said: “You want everything to be filmed, I didn’t even get a good entrance. I’m in shock, I don’t know if he has a vendetta against us.

“What other reason could there be? Everyone was like, ‘even a five-year-old could have done it better’.

“It was an amazing wedding, it was my dream. My wedding was planned really quickly. It was a two-week wedding.

“Everything was perfect. It was a white wedding, it didn’t snow on any other day than that one, It was meant to be.

“As much as it is an upsetting situation, I have all these memories.

“Anybody would be angry. I was expecting a minimum two hours of footage. I cried when I first saw it.

“That was the last thing I ever expected, you expect a shaky hand or recording from a wrong angle.

“I told my husband ‘he needs to give us our money back’.

“I paid for a service and he didn’t deliver, just to get the footage was a problem.”

Now, Rumi is urging future brides to have someone checking that their wedding is being filmed correctly.

Rumi said: “Now I can raise awareness that as a bride you should have some family members checking that your wedding is being filmed correctly.

“When I was in the moment, I was enjoying myself. Did I ever think he was filming the floor? No, because I was so occupied.

“We have children now, it’s sad that I won’t have that to show them when they’re older. It’s in my heart and my husband’s heart”

Commenters online have slammed the videographer, with one poster joking he was responsible for the clip.

One wrote: “Was he your ex?”

A second commented: “It looks like he pressed record when he thought he was pressing stop and stop when he was meant to record because why the floor?”

Another wrote: “That’s why it took two years, he knew it was ridiculous.”
