The United States, US, Senate Democratic Leader, Chuck Schumer, has tackled President Donald Trump over his tariff program.
Schumer said Trump's decision to roll out some tariffs was the dumbest decision he ever made as president.
Posting on X, the senator from New York wondered why Trump failed to impose tariffs on Russia.
According to Schumer: “Donald Trump slapped tariffs on penguins and not on Putin.
“Trump's tariffs are one of the dumbest decisions he has ever made as presidentâand that’s saying something.
“Trump is using tariffs in the dumbest way imaginable.
“That's what happens when you have no clue what you’re doing.
“You fire air traffic controllers, dismantle disease outbreak monitoring, sabotage Social Security and the VA, defund public schools, & declare trade wars on penguins.”
