A working mother of four is frustrated with the UK’s benefit system.
The mother, who relies on benefits, expressed her overwhelming "stress" due to her situation, which led her to share a frustrated "rant" online.

She believes that it is nearly impossible to attempt to “improve one’s life.”
In a brief video shared online, the woman, who posts under the username ‘Unique Misfit’ and resides in the UK, acknowledged that after leaving a low-paying job for a full-time position, she found herself “sanctioned” by the system.
After leaving her previous job that provided a “meager wage,” her earnings were flagged as being below what she “should be earning,” and she was instructed to “search for more work.”
She described the system as “one big stress,” making her life “super hard.”
The mother stated, “Anyone who claims for being a low earner or whatever else – the system is rigged to make you suffer, I’m sure of it.”
Subsequently, she elaborated on her situation, saying, “I’ve got my full-time job, updated my circumstances, and suddenly I’m being summoned to appointments – sorry, what? I’m confused.”
She was informed that she must go to the Jobcentre “to fulfill her commitments,” but she pointed out, “I do my commitments online, I always have. I don’t understand, will you still pay my childcare or not?”
The honest mother admitted that she cannot attend in-person meetings due to her new full-time job.
However, in a rare instance, she requested time off from her boss to attend the meeting.
Unfortunately, things did not go as she had hoped during her visit.
Despite her new job, she was told, “until it flags up, we’ll have to do this every week.”
Frustrated with the situation, the mother confessed, “This is stressing me out. Isn’t it insane?”
She then warned others, “So yeah, if you’re transitioning between jobs and you’re earning a low wage, be prepared for the nonsense the government throws at you, because heaven forbid you’re trying to improve your situation.”
Reactions from Universal Credit Claimants
The mother’s video, posted under the username @ uniquemisfit0 , has gained significant attention, amassing 307,400 views.
