‘Ukraine war senseless, Russia must get moving’ – Trump

President Donald Trump of the United States, on Friday, criticized Russia’s lack of movement on stopping the Ukraine war as his envoy was due to meet with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.

Trump made the comments on his Truth Social app, as the Kremlin revealed that envoy Steve Witkoff was due in Moscow for talks.

The president said the war, started by Russia invading its neighbor, it is “senseless”; and “should never have happened.”;

“Russia has to get moving,”; he said.

This comes following a spike in tensions between the US and Moscow’s close allies, Iran and China.
