Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has advised manager Hansi Flick to abandon high-line tactics if he wants the Catalan club to secure victory in the UEFA Champions League this season.
According to the Arsenal legend, Barcelona is being exposed in crucial matches, and Flick needs to adopt a different strategy moving forward.
The Frenchman made these comments following Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier this week.
During a segment on CBS Sports, Henry stated (as reported by Barca Blaugranes): “You cannot play in the Champions League with that high line. I’m sorry.
“When you face strong teams, you will get exposed.
“And that is precisely what occurred. Any well-timed run results in a clear chance on goal, every single time.
“They are reluctant to change it, and I understand that coaches can sometimes be stubborn, but it can be detrimental in significant matches.”
