Tyson Fury counts his winnings after betting Frank Warren £10,000 that Anthony Joshua would NOT sign fight contract

TYSON FURY has been flaunting his £10,000 winnings after winning a bet with Frank Warren that the Anthony Joshua fight would collapse.

The Gypsy King’s promoter revealed this morning that he owed the WBC heavyweight champion that his proposed “Battle of Britain” bout “would be finalised” during the negotiations with AJ.

Frank Warren has had to cough up £10k to Tyson Fury after losing a bet
The Gypsy King was flashing off his winnings earlier today

However, a deal never materialised and Fury will now face Derek Chisora instead on December 3 at Tottenham in a trilogy clash.

That led to the unbeaten boxer landing himself a tidy windfall, and the 6ft 9in star was seen waving around his profits in the air ahead of today’s press conference to promote his fight with Chisora.

Fury said: “I bet that Joshua wouldn’t sign the fight contract. Now, I’ve got £10k.

“Frank Warren said he would sign it and I said I bet you he won’t. There is the £10k (as he held up the money). It’s tax-free money too. You know where that’s going on the way home, don’t you.”

Warren had explained the terms of their wager to talkSPORT, saying: “I honestly believed it [the fight with AJ] was going to happen. I got to the stage where I thought, we are going to get this over the line.

“Then Tyson kept saying to me, they are not going to do this. All I was doing, was going back to him every day telling him how negotiations were going.

“However, Tyson was getting fed up with it all. He was right at the end of the day and it cost me £10,000 because of the bet I had with him.

“He was 100 per cent right. He said Joshua will not go for this.”

When asked on the future prospect of a fight with Joshua, Warren added: “No. AJ has got to come back. He’s got to win those fights and I think he is very vulnerable.

“I am not being disrespectful to him but I wouldn’t be surprised at any fight he loses now. I just think he’s a very readable fighter.”

The Manchester United supporting potential Morecambe owner will find himself at the home of Tottenham Hotspur in December.

That is the venue for his latest fight against Derek Chisora.

It’s also been announced that Daniel Dubois will fight on the undercard.

The Gypsy King announced the show on social media on Thursday morning with a picture of the fight card.

And he added: “LET’S HAVE IT THEN DEL BOY!!!! SEE YOU DECEMBER 3RD LONDON! @SpursOfficial @DerekWarChisora.”

Fury has already beaten Chisora twice before. He claimed a comfortable unanimous decision victory in 2011, before forcing Del Boy to retire on his stool in the 10th round of their rematch three years later.
