Two aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, are currently at loggerheads over who is the authentic winner of the primary election in Ibadan North West/ Ibadan South West Federal Constituency.
The two gladiators are Folake Olunloyo-Osinlowo and Rotimi Ajanaku.
DAILY POST reports that primary elections for various federal constituencies in APC were held on Saturday. Six aspirants contested in Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency ticket.
The aspirants are Kazeem Abimbola Abogun, Rotimi Ajanaku, Folake Olunloyo, Biodun ikumogunniyi, Tobi Dollar, Demola Alawuje and Taoheed Bolaji Adeleke.
DAILY POST gathered that since the election was conducted, Olunloyo-Osinlowo and Ajanaku have been claiming to have won the election.
Our correspondent learnt that Olunloyo-Osinlowo has been going around to thank her supporters for electing her.
The former occupant of the seat has also taken to her social media platforms to congratulate herself, as, according to her, results in her possession indicated that she won the election.
Ajanaku on the other hand has also claimed to have won the election.
A chieftain of the party who spoke with DAILY POST on Sunday confirmed that the two individuals have been going around, claiming to have won the election.
The APC chieftain in Ibadan North West, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said, “That is how we see it. The election was conducted on Saturday but two people, Folake Olunloyo-Osinlowo and Rotimi Ajanaku, have been claiming to have won the election.
“You know it is one ticket, how can two people be claiming one ticket? I don’t know how the party will resolve the problem.”
As at the time of filing this report on Monday, the two individuals have continued to insist that they won the election.
