The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, led by Tanimu Turaki, has merged its structure with the faction led by Aaron Chukwuemeka, who is aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

This announcement was made on Friday by Robinson Nname Ewor, the factional chairman of the Turaki-led PDP in Rivers State, during Wike's visit to the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area.

DAILY POST recalls that during a media briefing in Port Harcourt on Thursday, Ewor accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of misleading PDP members in the state by asserting that he could defeat Wike in the ongoing political contest in Rivers State.

Ewor stated that the PDP is no longer divided in Rivers State, raising concerns about the future of the Turaki-led faction.

He remarked, “Before I conclude, I want to remind you that I am the Chairman of Sim's PDP. I hope you all understand that. You should be aware. I am his Chairman.

“Today, I am transferring the Chairmanship and leadership of that faction to Aaron Chukwuemeka.

“The PDP is no longer divided in Rivers State. The party is now united under one Chairman and one leadership, aligned with the FCT leader.”
