“Without me, there would be no Israel, because no other president was willing to do what I did.
“Israel would have been blown up a long time ago, had I not gotten involved.
It comes as Trump is set to host a formal signing ceremony for a peace deal at the Swiss resort of Burgenstock on Friday.
The deal will reopen the embattled Strait of Hormuz and unblock the crucial choke point.
Trump said his deal with the regime, the text of which was not yet made public, means “Iran will never have a nuclear weapon”.
He said that was the focus of the deal, claiming “the rest of it’s irrelevant frankly”.
The US president added: “Here’s what it says: will never have a nuclear weapon.
“That’s what it says. It won’t have one to buy, to develop, they will not have a nuclear weapon.”
He said that if Iran tries to create nukes “all hell” will rain “down on them”.

The deal’s official framework is yet to be confirmed, but a 60-day ceasefire is expected to be agreed while the warring nations iron out the finer details.
Trump shut down what he called a “ridiculous” report that the deal included US investment in Iran.
He said: “We are not any , we have no obligation to invest any money in Iran.
“We have the right to it if we want but we’re not investing any money.”
The US president also insisted the Strait of Hormuz would be “toll free” when it reopens, despite Iran suggesting it could charge fees for tankers traversing the waterway.
Trump told Israeli Benjamin Netanyahu again to hold back in Lebanon, where continued fighting between the IDF and Hezbollah has repeatedly threatened peace talks.
Hezbollah claimed that Iran would not sign a “final nuclear deal”, with the US, the second planned part of an agreement, unless Israel first pulls out of Lebanon completely.
