DONALD Trump is expected to send thousands of elite troops to the Middle East as the US continues to ramp up the pressure on Iran.
The move comes amid reports the White House is seeking talks aimed at bringing the bitter conflict with Iran to an end.

The troops are expected to be part of the 82nd Airborne Division – one the US Army’s rapid response units.
No final order has been issued to dispatch the 82nd Airborne’s “Immediate Response Force,” but “prudent planning” is said to be underway.
