IT has been another scorcher, which means I’ve not left the house without SPF.

This is the first stick I’ve ever seen to have a teardrop shape – and I’m not sure how I feel about it.

On the plus side, it makes it really easy to apply around the eye area, but when it comes to applying on the body, it slows things down.

The formula isn’t greasy, it sits really well under make-up, and it glides easily over skin, which is something I’ve struggled to find from previous budget options, which have been much stiffer than their luxe counterparts.

The dinky size means it takes up next to no space in my handbag, making it perfect for travel or days out in the sun.

Although, you’ll have to repurchase more frequently than the others.

It feels completely weightless on , and there’s no white cast, making it suitable for all skin tones.

You can even apply it on top of make-up as it’s so lightweight – so there’s no excuse for sunburn.

LUXURY

Shiseido Expert sun protector clear suncare stick SPF50+, now £26.40 (down from £33) for 20g, lookfantastic.com

If you want more than just sun protection from your SPF, look no further.

This contains soothing licorice root and brightening anti-oxidants to improve skin tone and texture and promises to hydrate skin for up to eight hours.

You should be reapplying more frequently in this .

It is not at all sticky and gives skin a healthy glow like an illuminating primer, which makes the steeper price point worth the splurge.
