Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has urged the club’s target, Viktor Gyokeres to join Arsenal.
The Englishman said he was unsure if the striker was the ideal addition to the Red Devils squad.
According to Ferdinand, the striker might face difficulties at Old Trafford due to the physicality of the Premier League.
I’ve not seen enough of him to be totally convinced,”; Rio Ferdinand said on talkSPORT.
He added that when the striker faced big players in the Champions League he could not do so much against players that match him up physically.
“I just think for Manchester United, at this moment in time, I would go for experience more than anything,”; he added.
His current club said they won’t sell the striker for anything less than €70 million this summer.
The 27-year-old has a €100 million release clause in his current deal at Sporting CP.
