The owners of Chelsea and Strasbourg, BlueCo, have struck an agreement with Brighton to sign Julio Enciso.

Encisco will join Strasbourg initially, before he eventually moves to Chelsea.

The 21-year old, who is is currently recovering from a knee injury, will cost around €20million.

This deal means BlueCo have now brought in five players from Brighton, since they took over at Stamford Bridge in 2022.

Before Encisco, they had signed Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Robert Sanchez and Joao Pedro.

Enciso arrived from Paraguayan side Libertad in 2022 and scored five goals in 57 matches for the Seagulls.

However, his time at the Amex Stadium has been hampered by injury, including a torn meniscus in August 2023 that kept him sidelined for six months and caused him to miss 38 matches for club and country.

He has since dropped down the pecking order under new Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler.
