Victor Boniface is expected to return to Germany today as AC Milan are yet to make a decision about completing his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.

Milan have already agreed to sign the Nigeria international on a season-long loan deal.

There is also a buy option included in the deal.

Boniface however has worrying injury record, and has been subjected to series of medical tests.

The 24-year-old has went under the knife twice in his career.

The striker also battled with muscle problems last season which limited his appearance for Bayer Leverkusen.

According to Gazetta dello Sport, it is increasingly likely that Milan will abandon the move.
