So it’s no wonder people have been left stunned by a newly-unearthed clip of host which showed her completely
The only factor from Claudia’s normal look still in place was her glossy black bob and heavy .
The video was filmed during an interview with Scott Mills on Radio 2, and has just made a reappearance on social media platforms ahead of The Traitors finale airing this week.
In the clip, Claudia was seen doing her hilarious horse impression, as she urged Scott to imagine himself in a paddock.
“If you don’t want people at home to see your face, we can just put a horse’s head on you,” he joked.
As Claudia giggled and insisted: “I don’t mind!”
“Throwing it back to last year and Claudia Winkleman’s incredible horse impression,” Radio 2 captioned the video as they shared it on Facebook to mark her 54th birthday earlier this month.
And the comments section on the Facebook post was immediately filled with people marvelling at Claudia’s make-up free look.
“Never seen Claudia without her eye make-up before,” one wrote.
“Claudia looks so good without make-up,” another added.
“I thought it was an impersonation of her!” a third admitted.
“No make-up really makes her look normal.”
While others insisted Claudia looks even better without her trademark heavy make-up.
“She looks better with no make up. And I wish she knew this,” one wrote.
“Claud is so lovely and looks beautiful with or without her trademark eye make-up,” another said.
“One of the few that look younger without make-up,” a third wrote.
Claudia Winkleman's career so far
Holiday (1992–1996): Claudia started her TV career as a travel show presenter, delivering segments from exotic locations.
Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two (2004–2010): Although she worked on a few shows between Holiday and Strictly, Claudia really came into her own as a presenter on this spin-off, where she could be seen offering behind-the-scenes gossip and interviewing contestants. She hosted from its inception until took over from her in 2011.
(2014–present): After the BBC show due to health concerns, Claudia joined as a co-host of the main show. This is one of the jobs Claudia is best known for.
Film 2010 (2010–2016): Claudia succeeded as the host of the BBC’s flagship film review show in 2010. She was praised by The Guardian for being a “passionate and engaging advocate of cinema” in this role.
The Great British Sewing Bee (2013–2016): Claudia brought her wit to the crafting competition for three years.
The Traitors (2022-present): Claudia’s dark hair and resting mysterious face have become synonymous with this hit reality show. Despite her after the first series in case future seasons flopped, BBC bosses were determined to keep her on, so it seems unlikely she’ll stop heading up the show anytime soon.

Claudia previously described her make-up look as a cross between “slept in a skip” and “mature French student”.
“The real love of my life is black eyeliner,” she told Stylist magazine.
“I’m a massive believer in more is more.
“Subtle eye-liner is not for me. The perfect look is, ‘I put this on yesterday and slept in it, possibly with a rock star’.”
Her other go-to make-up products include Mac’s Fleshpot lipstick, and Lancome’s Flash Bronzer.
