TRAFFIC is at a standstill on both the M6 and M58 following an accidents on two motorways.
Between junction 30 Samlesbury, to junction 30, M61 Interchange and all traffic is being held while emergency services attend to a collision.

According to AA Traffic and Travel there are severe delays of 41 minutes and increasing on the M6 southbound.
Emergency services continue to work at the scene.
A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to an accident on M6 southbound from junction 31, Samlesbury, to junction 30, M61 Interchange.”
There has also been an accident on the M58, stopping traffic eastbound between J5 Skelmersdale and the M6.
National Highways North-West have said there are delays of 20 minutes on approach.
The delays top off a day off of mayhem on the motorways following mammoth queues as firefighters tackled a lorry fire on the M3 this morning.
Motorists were stuck in queues of 90 minutes while fire crews tackled the blaze which started at around 7am.
A full closure of the road was installed on M3 eastbound between junction four at Farnborough and junction three at Woking.
