A FORMER star of The Only Way Is Essex has claimed that the explosive rows on the hit show were ‘faked’.
‘s mum Debbie, who appeared on Towie from 2011 until 2017, has opened up in a new interview to Victoria Derbyshire.

Appearing on the Unbelievable Britain podcast, Debbie claimed that the arguments they had on the show were staged, with rows filmed after the original row took place.
Speaking to Debbie on the podcast, Victoria explained how she had been watching back old clips to refresh her memory ahead of their chat.
“I want to know now, and I know loads of people ask this, but I just, I felt, oh my God, this is so staged for part of it.
“So how much direction did you get where they said, right, you go in to her bedroom and chat with her on the bed about the big conversation she had with Arg last night?” Victoria asked.

Debbie then said: “Right, this is the honest truth and I’m the most honest person in the whole universe.
“There was no scripts.
“They would speak to you about what happened the night before, or it might be a week before.
“So you would have somebody ring you every day and go, what’s happening?
“So I go, ‘Oh, he’s really getting on my nerves’. And they go, ‘What’s happened?’
“So they’d make notes and then you’d have to redo what you might’ve had around with.
“So it was never as intense as a proper argument that you’d had because it was too…”
Victoria was left in disbelief, saying: “So you had to re-have the argument?
“Yeah, re-have the argument,” Debbie replied.
“So you’d had a real argument with no cameras, but you had to do it again on camera?” Victoria asked, completely baffled.
Debbie said: “Yeah, but obviously you’re in a different place then. So it might not be so intense or it could be even worse because you’ve had two days to think about it.
“So you might think, I should have said that, or I should have said this. So that’s how it worked.”
