Summer is nearly here! May has been another month blessed with diverse K-dramas that kept us entertained. Here’s a recap of the top five K-dramas that were the most-watched on Viki in May.

“The Haunted Palace”; is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the king, a female shaman who opposes it, and an evil spirit known as Imugi. Yook Sungjae stars as Yoon Gap, a royal archivist and Yeo Ri’s first love who becomes possessed by an Imugi named Gangcheori. Kim Ji Yeon stars as Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a powerful shaman who rejects her spiritual powers and destined path.

“Pump Up the Healthy Love”; is a romantic comedy starring Lee Jun Young as passionate gym owner Do Hyeon Joong, a former bodybuilding champion who drastically changes the lives of his gym members. Jeong Eun Ji plays Lee Mi Ran, an assistant manager at a travel agency who joins his gym to get over a recent breakup.

“Spring of Youth”; tells the story of Sa Gye ( Ha Yoo Joon ), a member of K-pop’s most famous band, who is suddenly ousted from his group. As he enrolls and adjusts to college life for the first time, he falls for Kim Bom ( Park Ji Hu ) and rediscovers his passion for music by joining a campus band. Lee Seung Hyub stars as Sa Gye’s romantic rival Seo Tae Yang.

“Second Shot at Love”; is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju ( Sooyoung ), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker”; who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun ( Gong Myoung )âa man who despises alcoholâand decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.

Based on a popular webtoon, “Crushology 101”; is a romance drama following the journey of college student Ban Hee Jin ( Roh Jeong Eui ), who is nicknamed “Bunny.”; After her first relationship ends badly, Bunny unexpectedly finds herself entangled with multiple handsome men that suddenly approach her.
