Tinubu visit: Soludo should prepare handover notes – APC

Published on May 10, 2025 at 06:10 AM

Youths in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, under the aegis of the APC Youth Vanguard, say President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s commitment towards the development of the South-East region is cheering.

This is as they also played down Soludo’s quick endorsement of the President for the 2027 presidential election, saying it will not guarantee him a second term.

They asked the governor to prepare for a peaceful handover to an APC administration in the state.

The National Convener of the APC Youth Vanguard, Dr. Chibueze Oleka, said this in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday.

He stated that President Tinubu’s second visit to Anambra within five months showed the President’s genuine interest in the state and his willingness to carry every part of the country along in his leadership.

He described the visits as signs of a listening and inclusive administration that values unity and regional balance.

Oleka also reaffirmed the group’s full support for President Tinubu’s administration and future political plans.

While ruling out Soludo’s re-election, he declared that the APC Youth Vanguard was mobilizing across the 21 local government areas of Anambra State to ensure victory for the party in the coming governorship election and beyond.

He described the party’s guber candidate Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu as a leader with the drive and vision to move Anambra forward.

Although he appreciated Soludo’s reception of President Tinubu during the recent visit, he added that his time in office had run its course and called on him to prepare for a peaceful handover.

“Soludo has tried within his own limits, but it is clear to the people that Anambra needs a new direction,”; Oleka stated.
