President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Kano State today, Friday, on a condolence visit following the death of elder statesman and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
The visit, confirmed by the Kano State Government, is aimed at consoling the people and government of Kano, as well as the family of the late philanthropist.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, said the president’s visit demonstrates national unity and respect for the contributions of the late Dantata, whose legacy of generosity and entrepreneurship impacted lives across Nigeria.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf urged residents to welcome President Tinubu warmly and maintain orderliness in line with Kano’s tradition of hospitality.
Tinubu is expected in Kano shortly after returning to Abuja from Lagos, where he spent the Eid-el-Kabir holiday.
Security and logistics arrangements have been concluded to ensure a smooth and dignified visit, according to the government.
