AT least three people have died after a coach crashed into a lorry and rolled down a steep bank – leaving another six fighting for their lives.

The passenger bus reportedly rear-ended a truck as it was travelling from Istanbul to Bodrum in Turkey, leaving 18 people injured.

The tragic crash left the driver and two passengers dead, reports say.

Hamit Torun, the man behind the wheel, and passenger Mustafa Saydam were pronounced dead at the scene.

Songül Demir , 46, was left seriously injured and was rushed to hospital.

But he succumbed to his wounds despite the efforts of doctors.

The horror unfolded on the Milas-Söke Highway in Mugla when the passenger bus smashed into the vehicle ahead of it.

Shocking pictures showed the mangled up wreckage of the bus.

The coach’s front end was seen crumpled up having hit the back of the lorry.

Emergency services rushed to the scene including medical, police and fire teams.

Some passengers trapped inside the bus were rescued by fire crews.
