Ten Hag’s next managerial job confirmed

Former Manchester United and Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag, is set to land the Bayer Leverkusen job.

Ten Hag will replace Xabi Alonso who is leaving to join Real Madrid this summer.

This was revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Romano wrote on X on Thursday: “Bayer Leverkusen made progress in talks with Erik ten Hag to become their new head coach.

“Ten Hag has given his total availability after direct contact taking place earlier this week.”;;

The Dutchman has been out of job since he was sacked by United in November.

Ajax tried to bring Ten Hag back after Francesco Farioli walked away from the job, citing “disagreements”;; with the Eredivisie club’s board.

Technical director Alex Kroes confirmed he had spoken with Ten Hag last weekend, but refused to elaborate further.
