A TEENAGE boy has been arrested after another teen was stabbed while in a busy McDonald’s restaurant.

The victim suffered stab wounds following the horror in Tamworth, Staffordshire, yesterday evening.

Emergency crews, including police and ambulance teams, were scrambled to the restaurant in Ventura Retail Park just before 8.30pm.

The teen was discovered with a wound to his lower back and was quickly rushed to hospital by paramedics.

Staffordshire Police confirmed his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Cops later arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of affray.

He remains in custody while the police investigation into the incident continues.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police told BirminghamLive : “A teenager has been arrested after a boy was stabbed in Tamworth.

“Just before 8.30pm yesterday, were called to a report of a stabbing inside McDonald’s on Elmhurst Drive.

“A teenage boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his lower back. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

“A 15-year-old boy, from the Birmingham area, has been arrested on suspicion of affray.

“He remains in custody as our enquiries continue.”

The force urged anyone with any information to get in touch quoting incident number 795 of 30 March.
