The 2 presenter’s is linked to a complaint about a probe into historic “serious sexual offences” against a teenage boy, it is understood.

Now, it has emerged that the so-called Bridge at Fleet service station on the M3 will be renamed.

The service station is owned by Welcome Break who are understood to want to quickly disassociate themselves from Scott amid the ongoing scandal.

Scott led a campaign to get the bridge next to the service station named after him as part of a light-hearted campaign on his Radio 1 show with his then co-star Chris Stark.

The duo raked in the help of the Welcome Break CEO for the stunt.

But a source has told The Sun that Welcome Break will likely take swift action.

They said: “It’s highly likely Welcome Break will rename the bridge in light of Scott being fired, especially given the nature of the allegations.

“It’s not a great look for them to be associated with any scandals.”

A spokesperson for Welcome Break declined to comment.

It was officially named the Scott Mills Bridge on March 16, 2016.

It is located between Junction 4a and 5 of the motorway and is marked by a commemorative plaque.

Scott with news of his sacking being made public on Monday.

He was last on-air as host of the Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Tuesday before a complaint arose.

BBC chiefs are understood to have taken swift action in sacking him thereafter.

The complaint is believed to relate to “serious sexual offences” against a teenage boy.

He was questioned by police under caution in 2018 – when he was in his 40s, the Mirror reports.

The interview was related to alleged offences which took place between 1997 and 2000.

The case was dropped in full due to a lack of evidence.

It was revealed yesterday that Mills had been fired from his Breakfast Show over allegations surrounding his “personal conduct.”

A source close to Mills — the BBC’s 11th highest-paid star — told The Sun: “Scott was told about the allegation in a meeting with senior staff present. He was tense.

“He has completely shut down now and no one can get hold of him. No calls, no messages — nothing.

“The people who know him are blindsided by all of this and they can’t get hold of him.”

An internal message was sent around Radio 2 after Mills’ exit was made public.
