TASERS and ammunition have vanished from Britain’s biggest police force.

Three Tasers were reported missing by the Met Police’s MO19 firearms command.

Two of the stun guns, which have a maximum charge of 50,000 volts and are classified as firearms, have never been found.

The other was later recovered.

In separate blunders, two Taser cartridges have been permanently lost.

And 25 rounds of ammunition — 9mm and 5.56mm bullets — vanished in five years to April 2025.

In the same period and reported no losses of firearms, Tasers or ammunition.

Retired Det Chief Insp Mick Neville said of the MO19 losses: “These will further dent trust and confidence.

“It seems like an element of sloppiness has crept into the Met’s firearms unit.

“An urgent audit is needed.”
