The former Secretary General of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Yunusa Sabotage Nmadu, has urged the government led by President Bola Tinubu to address insecurity by identifying and apprehending those funding terrorist activities.

He noted that insecurity has severely hampered the nation's progress across all aspects of life for several decades.

He stated, “Insecurity has regressed Nigeria in every conceivable way, and urgent action is required to rectify this situation, allowing Nigerians to thrive and improve their quality of life and that of the nation.”

While speaking to reporters in Kaduna on Thursday during a public presentation and book launch titled “Faith, Church, and Service to Humanity,” organized in his honor by the Department of Christian Religious Studies at Kaduna State University, the clergyman emphasized the need for collective efforts to end the significant loss of both life and property occurring in various regions of the country.

He expressed that faith and society must work together to create a better nation, lamenting the numerous killings happening in different areas, particularly affecting Christian communities.

He called on the current government to continue utilizing military personnel to guarantee the safety of all Nigerians.

He remarked, “Many previous administrations have merely paid lip service to the issue of security challenges in the country. I commend the current administration under Bola Tinubu for its efforts in addressing these issues.”

He also encouraged Nigerians to fulfill their responsibilities by denouncing the actions of those involved in illegal activities, urging them to expose anyone, regardless of their status in society, to help resolve the security crisis.

He argued, “Some influential Nigerians are actively working against the government's efforts to resolve the situation, while others are motivated by self-interest. The government must employ all necessary measures to identify and eliminate these individuals to bring an end to the nation's security challenges.”
