Rangers striker, Cyriel Dessers has backed Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle to have a successful stint in charge of the team.
Chelle, a former Mali international took charge of the Super Eagles in January.
The 47-year-old was in charge of the Malian national team at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles have won two games and drawn one in three outings under the young tactician.
Dessers believes the Super Eagles would have remarkable success under Chelle.
“Positive, I saw what he [Chelle] did at Mali for example. He made the team play with a good structure, so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do together,”; he told Soccernet.
Dessers has yet to represent at a major tournament.
The Super Eagles have already booked a place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Morocco.
The 30-year-old is looking forward to participating in the competition.
“I hope to be there, I hope I can help the team there and achieve our dream together, and of course, it would be a dream to go to the AFCON with Nigeria, that would be one of the last things to finish off my career, it would be really beautiful,”; he added.
