EFL cult hero Billy Sharp has sensationally returned to football just weeks after announcing his retirement.
Sharp has re-signed for former club Rushden and Diamonds, who he played for back in 2005.

It comes after the 40-year-old from football LIVE on TV just weeks ago.
Rushden and Diamonds confirmed the signing on their socials on Sunday.
The club, who play in the eighth tier, posted: “After 21 years away, AFC Rushden & Diamonds are excited to announce that becomes a Diamond once again. Billy scored the first of his 299 goals for Rushden & Diamonds back in 2005.
“The man who put the ball in the cobblers net, has 299 career goals spanning over 22 years. Featuring for RDFC, , Doncaster Rovers, Southampton, & Scunthorpe to name a few!
“Billy comes in to help the Club with James Clifton being suspended and we can’t wait to see him pull on the shirt one final time as we go to in the 1st Round Proper for the first time ever in AFC Rushden & Diamonds history.”
So it appears to be one last dance for Sharp, who will play for his ex-club one last time, but in the FA Cup.
The Diamonds will be seeking to stage an upset as they travel to Burton Albion on Saturday November 7.
The sides are separated by five divisions, but Sharp will be hoping for some FA Cup magic in his final ever competitive game.
It comes as a surprise after his retirement just weeks ago on Sky Sports.
Perhaps he wants one more goal to reach the elusive 300 career goals, after bowing out on 299.
